Infoflex Connect AB has provided an EMG customization to an operator in South America enabling EMG to sit between a Push Initiator (PI) and a Push Proxy Gateway (PPG) and depending on the type of subscriber mobile terminal either proxy PAP requests on to the PPG or converting notification into BREW notifications and send them to the SMSC via SMPP.

This enables the operator to easily support MMS notifications to both GSM terminals and BREW terminals.

The customization consists of 2 plugins:

• EMG plugin for LDAP lookups in order to determine terminal model for subscriber
• EMG plugin for converting WAP push notifications over PAP into BREW notifications
