EMG 3.1 is a continuation of the EMG 3.0 release branch, but will require a new license key when upgrading from any earlier EMG release.

EMG 3.0 is backward compatible with configurations for earlier versions of EMG.
It is possible to download the binaries-only distribution and replace the binaries
for an earlier version. However, if you need new files in the distribution such as
SQL files etc you would need to download the full distribution.

Messages could be “rerouted” even if they were busy*
GSM+UCP: Problem with gsm decoder and empty message bodies fixed*
GSM: Ensure we open modem line if not already open when polling for new messages
GSM: Fix for handling long SMSC addresses
SMTP: Handle SMTP header “X-EMG-Option-UDH”
HTTP: Handle HTTP requests > 2 kB correctly
Message could cause a spinning loop on incorrect retryscheme configuration
Fix for downgrading a UCS2 string including greek characters to IA5 if possible
Better cleanup of old entries in spool directories
